I think that if they really thrash your work, you have to take some things into concideration. Are they doing it because they simply hate your work? Are they doing it because they have very strong views on things and your style doesn't fit into their criteria? Are they just doing it to be annoying? Everyone sees things differently and while one person might hate your work, another may love it. We'll always have people who hate and those who love our stuff. Don't let it get you down, take it with a pinch of salt. And above all, if you are happy with your work and like your own style, then you don't need to listen to thrashing crits on it. However if you're not happy with it and you see this more when you get crits, just work to get your art how you would like it to be. Most crits are given fairly. Those that are just blatant nasty ones mostly have no real reason so don't let it bother you too much.

I would just say use it as fuel to improve, I'm constantly thrashing on my own work just for that purpose! I know it hurts to get taken down like that, but its not like you're stuck, theres allways a place to go with your art! keep pushng forward and keep improving!

Yeah I'm fine with regular critiques. I'm talking more about "I hate you/you suck" kind of comments but I know what you mean. You have to just take it in stride and keep moving forward.

Most people's mothers say it, but usually when someone really chews you out (for no reason) it's 'cause they're jealous XDD It's horribly cliche, but often it's true.
Someone who just tells you you suck, giving no reason and no constructive criticism, usually isn't worth your time. If they're just going to be nasty about it then I like to think their opinion doesn't count XD
Don't take it to heart, because I really look up to you and I know there are lots of people who enjoy your comic and your art works c:

Na, we all feel like that sometimes. I personally end up hating my work if anyone harshly crits it. Then I have to remember that's just their opinion and there's really nothing wrong with my art because far more people enjoy it than those that don't.

First of all, you should ask yourself : what kind of person takes the time to write trash about a piece of art they dislike? Pathetic people with nothing better to do, if you ask me. People that care about you and your work would want you to improve, not destroyed.

I've been following TH for a while now, loving the story but also liking to see the natural progression of your drawing style. You're good, girl. Keep like that and one day you'll be unstoppable.

... Aaaw... ;__; *Huuuug* My god it sucks when people are jerks. I know if I get unconstructive criticism, it absolutely destroys me... If I'm trying to draw something and someone's leaning over my shoulder and laughing about how much it sucks or making fun of how I'm having trouble with one part... Uuugh I just give up drawing there and then because I cannot and will not be able to draw without going absolutely neurotic. I once COMPLETELY had a breakdown after a friend started laughing about my drawing and suddenly, none of my stuff looked good any more... I couldn't draw for ages after that. But I follow your webcomic, and have done so for a while - your art, obviously, is not perfect, but if it were perfect there's no way your webcomic would have the charm it does. I mean, sure, I think you can obviously tell the eyes in your art aren't DEATHLY REALISTIC OMG but... Realistic eyes, in your webcomic? Or realistic eyes in your style? o___o That really wouldn't work. XD Speaking of which, you have a really unique style, and that's something which many of the 'OMGAMAZING' artists don't have - and you're already pretty spectacular as it is, I'd say, if you've got the patience and the skills to draw a webcomic and keep up with it. o____o *Huuuug* I like your style, if it's anything: It's not one I've seen before, and it suits the webcomic very well. The only reason I commented you weren't perfect is because everyone can improve, no matter who the artist, but pfffff do the 'imperfections' (note the inverted commas) make the art all the better~
