My ultimate inspiration passed away over the weekend and Iím justÖ baw. It really sucks to say the least. Budd Hopkins was an amazing person who helped seriously traumatized people get they help they needed. He was also one of the first to push for PTSD testing and therapy for people claiming alien abductions.
I started writing TH when I was around 13 years old but put it away because Greys scared the pants off of me. In college, I was walking through a used bookstore and saw one peering up at me from the spine of a seriously worn out book, Intruders: The Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods. I chewed through it in a few days and remembered this dorky idea for a comic I had. Using Buddís books as a model, I rewrote TH and itís basically what youíre reading today. Hell, I even named Roger after the book and heís drinking a can of Budd Beer on page 17.
I got to meet Budd about a year ago, we talked a little but I didnít say anything about TH. Some of you guys know Iím pretty scared of what the UFO community would think about TH since Iím romanticizing the topic quite a bit. Iím kind of sad I never brought it up but ehÖ What are you going to do?
